A Message from Our Principal

Jennifer Castillo, Principal

Welcome to Our Port St. Lucie Community

Nestled within a welcoming residential neighborhood in Port St. Lucie, Chesterbrook Academy provides a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn. Away from the distractions of busy commercial areas, our school was thoughtfully designed to foster meaningful relationships, academic growth, and a strong sense of community for every family we serve.

Guided by our core values of safety, nurturing care, and educational excellence, we are committed to creating an environment where every child feels valued from the moment they walk through our doors. Our close-knit community ensures that children and families are greeted each day with warmth and familiarity, creating an immediate sense of belonging.

An Inspiring Academic Foundation
At the heart of our school is a balanced curriculum that combines purposeful academic instruction with hands-on, play-based learning experiences. Our classrooms feature thoughtfully designed learning centers that encourage creativity, curiosity, and independent exploration while helping students build strong foundations in literacy, communication, and early critical thinking skills.

This academic experience is led by compassionate and highly qualified teachers dedicated to helping every child thrive. Ninety-five percent of our lead teachers have been with our school for three or more years, with many serving families for over five years, including a beloved twenty-year veteran in our infant program. All lead teachers hold Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials or advanced degrees and participate in ongoing professional development focused on curriculum innovation, safety, and classroom management.

Enriching Experiences and Purposeful Spaces
Beyond the classroom, we offer enriching ancillary programs that support the development of well-rounded learners. Students can participate in computer literacy classes where they build foundational technology skills through hands-on experiences with standalone computers, keyboarding, and mouse navigation. We also provide engaging dance and athletic programs that encourage movement, confidence, and self-expression.

Our school community is strengthened through cherished traditions and family-centered events throughout the year, including weekly Friday dress-up days, our community Fall Festival, and our annual Hispanic Heritage Parade. During this special celebration, students proudly create musical instruments and march alongside colorful international flags while families gather to celebrate culture, diversity, and community together.

These experiences take place on our beautifully maintained campus featuring secure, fenced playgrounds and expansive outdoor spaces that are fully shaded and newly turfed to accommodate Florida’s climate.

A Commitment to Safety and Community
The safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priority. Our campus operates with a secure single-point entry system, front desk buzzer verification, locked exterior perimeters, and faculty trained in emergency preparedness procedures.

We invite you to visit our Port St. Lucie campus, explore our classrooms, and experience firsthand the joyful and engaging learning environment that makes Chesterbrook Academy such a special place for children and families.
