November Newsletter 2018
Thank you all for your participation in our Trunk or Treat and Halloween Parade! We loved getting to spend extra time with you and seeing our students in their costumes is always memorable for our staff. This will be a busy month as we head into the holiday season and we are looking forward to spending it with you and your children. Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns or need additional care/schedule changes during this time of year. We are grateful for you all. Happy Thanksgiving!

Fairfax County Public Schools Closed—November 5th, 6th, and 21st
Our local public schools are closed on November 5th, 6th, and 21st, but we have a full days of fall themed fun planned for our school-age students. If your student would like to attend please reach out to us for details.
Holiday Closures
Our school does not follow the local elementary school schedule as we are open more days each year. For the 2018-2019 school year the days we are closed are:
August 23 and 24 (School Year Prep and Training for Staff)
Labor Day
Veteran’s Day
Thanksgiving Day
Day After Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve (open with limited hours)
Christmas Day
New Year’s Day
Martin Luther King Jr. Day
President’s Day
Memorial Day
June 13 and 14 (Summer Camp Prep and Training for Staff)
Independence Day

Links 2 Home
If you’re not currently receiving photos and daily reports for your child you can easily change this by downloading the Links 2 Home app on your phone. Just type ‘Links 2 Home’ in the search bar for the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. After downloading Links 2 Home you can register with the same email address that you used to enroll your child in our school. Please let us know if you have any questions!
Alma (Parent Portal)
All parents are automatically entered into our parent portal through Alma upon enrollment. If you have not received a link to set up your Alma account, please contact administration for assistance. The link to direct you to Alma is located on our website under “For Parents” and then “My Account.” Functions of the portal include payments, payment methods, account statements, contact information and authorization of individuals to pick up your child.
