Important Information for the Month
March 2019
February was a great month at our school! We held several family events and truly appreciate all those who participated. In anticipation of spring, our teachers are busy planning meaningful learning activities that will help students gain an appreciation for the changing seasons. In order to make the most of the next few months we will be spending extra time outdoors so our students can interact with nature. Please make sure your child has weather appropriate outerwear for school each day.
Sincerely,
Kirstin Baker, Principal
Spring Break Camp
Our local school districts are closed from April 15-19 for Spring Break, but our school-age program is open! We have an entire week of challenging, fun and engaging activities planned for our school-age students.
Have your child join us for:
• Field trip to The Thinkery Children’s Museum
• Pizza and movie party on Friday the 15th
• STEAM tower building challenge
• Cooking club
• Mad Science robotics demonstration
We cherish this extra time with our older students and would love for your child to attend. The registration deadline in March 29th, please contact the front desk for more information.
Illness Policy
Our parents are vital partners in helping us to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the students in our school. The most important thing you can do to assist us in creating a healthy environment is to keep your child home if they are ill. This reduces the spread of illness and allows your child to fully recuperate. Children may not attend school until they have been symptom free for 24 hours if they display any of the following:
• Fever over 100 degrees (taken axillary)
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Heavy nasal discharge
• Constant cough or indication of sore throat
• Unidentifiable skin rash
• Head lice
• Symptoms of a communicable disease
• Symptoms of pink eye/conjunctivitis
For more information please see our Parent Handbook or reach out to a member of our administrative team.
