From the Principal’s Desk…
We want to thank all the parents and volunteers that participated during the week “Kids Helping Kids”. This our second year hosting to raised money for Alex’s Lemonade to fight childhood cancer. We exceeded our goal of $1,500 by raising $2,447.00. August is an exciting time here at Chesterbrook Academy in Cooper City as we prepare to celebrate all we’ve learned through weekly themes and discovery during summer camp and start to transition into Back to School. This school year we are excited to welcome back all of our lead teachers, and returning families as the 2019-20 will be filled with the perfect balance of learning and play. Our Back-to-School Fair and Open House will be held on Saturday, August 3rd. During this time we will orient our children and families to their new class. The children will enjoy an interactive story-time with their new teacher, and enjoy peer interactions with their new classmates. During this time VPK/PRE-K parents will meet in our center court to hear a message from the Principal, learn about our educational philosophy and visit with our enrichment teachers and sample our very yummy all natural all organic lunch program.
Our Back to School Fair is often time a child’s first time back into our school since touring and registering so we aim to make it an inviting, fun-filled day for them so transitioning to school on the first day is smooth and filled with recent memories of excitement and fun! If you would like to tour our school on this day we welcome you to do that as we will host tours during 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Private tours will go on throughout this period of time, and parents are welcome to come with their child as we will invite them to join us in our story-time and activity for the day. Although our Academy is usually full throughout the academic year, we are always inviting families to visit with us and we recommend they join our very active wait -list.
Please take a look at our activities outlined below in our calendar of events and I look forward to a successful school year come this fall!
