Now that the holiday season has arrived, many of us will take time to visit with family and friends or to connect with important people in our lives. This type of personal connection is an important part of our school’s philosophy and continues to flourish through our many school events. Meaningful connections between teachers and parents guarantee academic, social, and emotional growth of each of our students. Thank you parents for taking the time to get involved in our school activities.
It is always important to celebrate each other; what makes us unique and special. We were able to take a moment to learn more about our families, cultures, and great traditions during our 2nd Annual Cultures around the World Block Party. It was a great opportunity to dig in deeper into the melting pot that makes up Chesterbrook Academy Pembroke Pines. December’s Silly school spirit day with continue on that path with Culture Dress Up Day. I cannot wait to see everyone come to school reflecting their culture and heritage on Thursday, December 17, 2015.
VPK Parents:
On Monday, December 14th our VPK students will be going on their 2nd field trip of the year! They will be going to the Miramar branch library for a special teddy story time and puppet show. VPK will be on winter break from Dec. 21st –January 1st. VPK will resume January 4th. During winter break, there will be no school for VPK only students. Full time students are welcome to attend their normal schedules.
Holiday Hours:
The only two days we will be closed are December 25 in honor of Christmas Day and January 1st in honor of New Year’s Day. In order to give our teachers the opportunity to spend the Holidays with their loved ones, we will be closing at 4pm December 24th and 31st.
