It is amazing to me that we are already half way through the summer. So far, all of our trips and shows have been awesome and the children are having a lot of fun.
The new school year is nearly upon us, and our staff is looking forward to getting the new school year started. This year promises to be a very busy one, full of exciting activities, lessons and family events.
Our teachers are planning September and are eager to begin a wonderful year of learning and exploration. We carefully select activities and plan each week for each age group to ensure everyday is full of developmentally appropriate learning opportunities. When we plan we consider social/emotional development, academic opportunities, gross motor development, life skills and interests of currently enrolled children, always remembering that young children learn best through play and hands on experiences.
More detailed lesson plans are available week to week and are posted outside of each classroom on the Parent Communication Board. Each day you will receive a daily report through Tadpoles about your child’s day, make sure to check your email! The last day of each month, you will be bringing home your child’s Links to Learning folder which will contain a summary of developmental skills emphasized in the previous month, and suggested activities that reinforce the link between school and home. The information is a great resource for parents to work with your child and be a vital part of the learning experience.
Most of our children will be moving up to new classrooms. We will send each family an email with teacher information and room assignments. The week of August 29th students will begin visiting their new classrooms to help them get acquainted with their new surroundings. During that week you will continue to drop off and pick up in their current classroom. September 6th will be the first full week in their new rooms. We are excited to have our friends return from their summer hiatus as well as welcoming new friends into the Chesterbrook family. It will truly be an exciting year!
Enjoy the rest of summer!

There are cups/ mugs/ and more items that you can get with your favorite sports teams. (They use Tervis cups, which are great quality!) Or you can just go with some basic things. Our school is looking forward to making some improvements to our building and our playground. The funds we raise will help support these improvements. Here is the link to the website: https://chesterbrook711.superfanfundraising.com/ We will also have brochures for each student. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
