Dear Parents
Well we finished our first month of school and things are going great! We are all looking forward to some wonderful events we have planned for the month of October. We will start our A+ School Rewards the second week of the month. Please look for more information to follow. Also, we will be learning all about Fire Safety the week of October 9th. We will get a visit from the fire trucks that week and speak with the firefighters! A Mystery Reader will be joining us on the 19th and we have our Halloween Parade scheduled for Halloween day. As you can see, we have many fun things to look forward to. Please check the website often for the most current information.
Also this month, we have holiday photos scheduled. Please look for more information in your child’s mailbox.
Finally, please make a note that I will not be here during the week of October 24th. I will be at our annual Principal’s Conference learning the new trends in education and updates to our curriculum. This is an opportunity provided to all of the principals in order for us to network and keep current in education. It also allows for us to provide this information when we return to our teachers on our staff development days.
Reminders:
* We are a peanut free school.
* If your child is sick, we will adhere to our sick policy.
* Please make sure to check your child’s cubby and/or mailbox for important information.
*The weather will be getting cooler soon. Please update your child’s spare clothing.
I hope you have a fun and safe month!
Sincerely,
Michele Somishka
