It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!! We here at Chesterbrook Academy in Chadds Ford are so excited for the month of December! December is a time of traditions, celebrations, family and friends. Throughout the month students will be learning about all the holiday symbols, what a tradition is and sharing their own traditions with their classmates. Students will enjoy learning about the meaning of the holidays and embracing the concept of giving.
To help students learn what it means and feels like to give, we have adopted a family for the Christmas holiday through Pathways PA. Our family’s Christmas wishes are written on ornaments decorating the tree in our vestibule. We also have ornaments labeled for Helping the Homeless. If you would like to participate and share the feeling of giving with your child, simply take an ornament from the tree, purchase the item new, wrap the gift and place it under our tree. Gifts are due by Tuesday December 12th and will be delivered to the Pathways PA office. Pathways will deliver the gifts to our adopted family who will get to have a wonderful Christmas thanks to you and your generosity. Miss Ashia will be distributing our Helping the Homeless gifts to the homeless in the Chester-Philadelphia area.
Important dates to keep in mind for the month of December:
December 12th – Gifts for our Pathways Family and Helping the Homeless due
December 15th – Holiday Show starting at 4:00pm
December 25th – Chesterbrook will be closed in observation of the holiday
January 1st – Chesterbrook closed in Observation of the New Year
