MARCH 2022 SCHOOL NEWS

Hello Chesterbrook Academy Families,

March starts out with our celebration of Dr. Seuss Week! Dr. Seuss’s birthday is celebrated on March 2 and it celebrates both the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel and the National Education Association to endorse the importance of reading. If you have a favorite Seuss book, please bring it in to share with your friends! Remember to dress wacky throughout the week. Here is the list of events:

Monday – Wear your STRIPES!
Tuesday – Place a MOUSTACHE under your nose (or on your mask)!
WednesdayPAJAMA DAY!
Thursday – Fix your HAIR in a crazy way or wear a silly HAT!
Friday – Mismatch your SHOES and SOCKS! (please wear close-toed shoes)

Celebrating Dr. Seuss is a great way to encourage creativity and the love of reading!

Thursday, March 17th, brings in the shenanigans of the leprechauns as we enjoy St. Patrick’s Day! Classroom sign-up sheets for party essentials will go up on March 7th.

We want to thank everyone who donated to our Pajama Program Book Drive! In April, we will begin our collection of items for Women in Distress for Mother’s Day. Donate essential care items, such as soap and shampoo, for women staying in domestic abuse or homeless shelters. We are joining the Two Men and a Truck Movers for Moms program.
